While most hammer drill bits generate hammer action by moving the chuck back and forth, the SDS Drill Bit has a slot system that keeps these chucks in place while providing more efficient drilling and hammer action. SHOWIRK makes use of this advantage to make more in-depth research and use the best steel and advanced manufacturing technology to make tools.

Application of SDS Drill Bits
It is commonly used for punching holes in hard materials such as brick, granite and marble, so SHOWIRK uses this property to make SDS Drill Bit models with hard and durable materials, making the product more durable to withstand punching applications during drilling.
SDS Plus Drill Bit and SDS Hammer Drill Bit take advantage of advanced technology to enhance durability. The SDS Plus Drill Bit incorporates the new 4 flutes into a maximized central core for improved product life and energy transfer, while the 140 bit design ensures greater penetration of the bit and the use of hardened steel body for additional strength and reduced fracture. The SDS Hammer Drill Bit uses a new solid carbide bit with aptised4 tool geometry that maximizes the length of bit service.
The advantages of the SDS Drill Bits
The biggest advantage of SDS Drill Bits is its durability. In addition, it has other advantages. Firstly, SDS Drill Bit has the largest groove, with four groove spirals at the inlet for faster debris removal. Secondly, a maximized center core for more efficient energy transfer to the bit head. Thirdly, a fully supported carbide head for cleaner, more concentric, and better fixation. Finally, the head design ensures faster drilling speed for the machine.
The material of the SDS Drill Bit
For the SDS Drill Bit material, SHOWIRK used metal drilling. Why is that? Metal drilling can be used for portable or stationary drilling of metals with high alloy content rigor and tensile strength up to 1100N/mm2, with faster drilling speeds and 50% greater durability than standard HSS-R bits.
What are the differences between SDS Drill Bit, SDS Plus Drill Bit and SDS Max Drill Bit?
The SDS Plus Drill Bit has four large drives or grooves (two open grooves and two closed grooves) to which the locking ball is attached. The SDS Plus Drill Bit is interchangeable with the SDS Drill Bit and is the normal bit and most normal bit size of the bit. SDS Plus Drill Bit can normally drill a hole with diameters of 1 and 1/8 inch. Compared to the other bit sizes, it is the smallest of the three shank sizes, with a length of 10 mm, inserted 40 mm inside the chuck.
SDS Max Drill Bit is a large hammer drill bit. It produces a larger aperture than SDS Drill Bit and SDS Plus Drill Bit (2 in diameter), and it also features chisels that are ideal for heavy duty work such as cutting, chiseling, bushing, cutting and digging. Compared to SDS Drill Bit or SDS Plus Drill Bit, SDS Max Drill Bit has three slots and a locking segment instead of a ball. The SDS Max Drill Bit also comes in 18mm and inserts into the 90mm calf when used into the chuck.
SDS Max Drill Bits are considered more expensive than SDS Drill Bits and SDS Plus Drill Bits because of their larger size. Due to their size, SDS Max Drill Bit is not compatible and is not interchangeable with SDS Drill Bit and SDS Plus Drill Bit due to its system and different handles.
With a basic understanding of the SDS drill bits, SHOWIRK delved into the needs of our customers, and the fittings were designed and developed on a maximum scale using state-of-the-art technology and computer-aided design throughout the development process. These modern designs, along with subsequent test LABS and extensive field testing, provide a solid foundation for SHOWIRK products.
